Board AppointmentBoard appointmentLandkom International PLC (AIM: LKI, "Landkom" or "the Group"), the Ukrainian producer of high value oilseed rape ("OSR") and wheat, has appointed Vitaliy Skotsyk to the Board with immediate effect. Vitaliy Evstafiy Skotsyk, aged 37, a Ukrainian citizen, brings valuable local and international experience in the agricultural sector, having built up and led AMACO, one of the largest agricultural equipment and input suppliers in the CIS over the past 12 years. He has a PhD in Agriculture from the Ukraine State Agriculture University, a Doctorate of Economics in Strategic Management from the International Management University, Kiev, and has worked in key positions in agricultural businesses in the UK and USA. Vitaliy will remain General Manager of AMACO. Separately, the Group has today published its Interim Results for the six months to 30 June 2009. Neil Balfour, Chairman of Landkom commented: Further information for Vitaliy Skotsyk required to be disclosed in respect of the above appointment pursuant to Schedule Two, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies, is as follows: Current directorships Amaco Ukraine Limited Major Ukraine Ltd - a company formed for a proposed real estate development project in Ukraine, which has not progressed and is now in the process of being liquidated. Mr Skotsyk is to be granted options to acquire 2,400,000 shares in the Company representing 1.0 per cent of the current issued share capital of the Company. These options are exercisable at the market price at the time of issue.
