Grain facility update

Grain facility update

Landkom International PLC (AIM: LKI, "Landkom"), the Ukrainian producer of high-value oil seed rape and wheat, announces that its new grain elevator at the Krasne base is now in operation and has taken delivery of its first shipment of wheat from Landkom's fields.

The grain elevator is a complex of buildings designed for the intake, cleaning, drying, storage and shipment of grain. Landkom is now running a full cycle of the drying and storage process.

Once fully commissioned, wheat from neighbouring regions will be brought to the Krasne elevator which, on completion shortly, will be able to store in excess of 20,000 tonnes of grain.

Equipment has been purchased and is on site, which can double this drying and storage capacity and, in the meantime, contracts have been signed to cover the drying and storage of the entirety of this year's crop.

Richard Spinks, Chief Executive Officer commented:
"Thanks to the hard work of our construction and operations teams, our state-of-the-art grain elevator is now in use. Once fully complete, this facility will provide Landkom with efficient and cost-effective capacity for grain storage and shipment which will be vital for our progress in the region."
