Board Changes – Farm Director Appointed
Landkom International Plc (AIM: LKI, "Landkom" or the "Company"), the Ukrainian producer of high-value oil seed rape and wheat, has promoted Ben Adams to the Board as Farm Director with immediate effect. Benjamin John Adams, aged 38 and a citizen of Ireland and Australia, has 14 years of international operational and management experience in farming businesses. Ben joined Landkom in March 2008. Previously, Ben worked as Group Project Manager and Senior Site Manager for Gilmac in Australia and prior to that held senior farming positions at Almarai in Saudi Arabia. Ben has a National Certificate in Agriculture from Gurteen Agricultural College in Ireland, and certificates in Farm Management and Farm Husbandry from Cork Farm Centre. Separately, David Mackie has stepped down from the Board as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. David was involved with Landkom from its inception. Landkom expects to appoint another non executive director in due course. Neil Balfour, Landkom Chairman, commented: "Ben brings with him an excellent mix of international experience and industry knowledge that has been invaluable to us over the last nine months. Benjamin John Adams has no current or previous directorships. There is no further information required to be disclosed in respect of the above appointment pursuant to Schedule Two, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
