Storage

Western Ukraine has suffered years of neglect in terms of investment in agriculture infrastructure and storage.

Landkom has completed its first grain silo in the village of Krasne in Lviv Oblast.  The 20,000 tonne facility is completed awaiting final certifications.  Key characteristics of the facility are as follows:

  • 16 ha rail side site
  • 20,000 tonnes of storage capacity
  • 50-100 tonnes per hour drying capacity
  • $7.5 million invested including purchase of equipment to double drying and storage  capacity

In addition across its bases Landkom owns five flat storage buffer sites with up to 17,000 tonnes of storage capacity.

Due to dry harvest conditions in the Group's southern Crimean operations, drying facilities are not required and costs are reduced.

As part of Landkom's medium term strategy, the Group seeks to secure new or fully refurbished drying and storage facilities in each of its operating areas.
